A native of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Timothy Buchser is a unique and extraordinary artist. With a similar passion to his great, great uncle famed Swiss painter, Frank Buchser, he has also spent the majority of his life in the pursuit of the natural beauty of the world. He has lived in the high dessert and mountain regions of the Southwest, the raw untouched wilds of Alaska, the distinct beauty of New England, the majestic Pacific Northwest and the unmatched Rocky Mountains of Colorado and Idaho. After working a variety of jobs in high school and dabbling in woodworking and art, he decided to embrace a career in the art of cooking. He apprenticed under a very talented Swiss/French chef, Ernie Balloter at Ernie’s Restaurant in Santa Fe. After completing his apprenticeship, he spent the next 10 years as both a Sous Chef and Executive Chef in Santa Fe, Washington D.C., North Conway, New Hampshire, and Vail, Colorado.  Tired of the fast paced world of the restaurant industry and seeking new challenges, he began a new career in Woodworking, Art and Construction. Buchser Handwerk was born. Over 20 years later and a name change to Handwerk Arts he developed his skills as a Master Craftsman, Designer and Artist. He has spent the last few years with his with his wonderful wife Alisha and their 6 wonderful children, as a Nomadic Missionary, living out the teachings of Christ, by serving others. Thus his most recent work evokes the beauty of the North American Coast. From the subtle colors of the Texas sand dune islands to the dramatic colors of an Eastern Virginia Autumn.  Timothy captures his passion for America’s natural beauty with eclectic styling and dramatic colors. Timothy’s work has ranged from oil and acrylic paintings of the Southwest to modernistic multi media sculpture. The majority of his pieces reside in private collections. ☨☨
